Who can use Crestlet
You must be 18 or over and able to enter into a contract. You can use Crestlet as a landlord, as a tenant, or both. Keep your password to yourself: you are responsible for what happens under your account.
What Crestlet does, and what it does not
Crestlet is software for keeping the records of a tenancy: properties and units, tenants, leases and their charges, invoices and deposits. It does not collect rent, hold money or make payments for anyone.
It does not give legal, tax or financial advice, and it does not check that a lease, a charge or a deduction from a deposit is allowed where you are. A landlord using Crestlet remains responsible for following the law that applies to their tenancies.
Your data
What you add to Crestlet stays yours. You allow us to store, process and show it so that we can provide the service to you and to the people you share a tenancy with, as the privacy policy describes. If you add someone else's details, such as a tenant's, you must have the right to do so.
Using Crestlet fairly
- Do not use it for anything unlawful, or to harass anyone.
- Do not try to get into accounts or data that are not yours, or to disrupt the service.
- Do not copy the service, or collect data from it by automated means.
- Do not upload anything you do not have the right to share.
Prices
There is no charge for using Crestlet today. The pricing page shows how we expect to charge landlords. Before any paid plan applies to you, we will tell you its price, and you can choose whether to continue. Tenants are not charged.
Changes to the service
Crestlet is new and will change. We may add, change or remove features. We aim to keep it available and your data safe, but we cannot promise that it will always be available or free of errors.
Ending your use
You can stop using Crestlet at any time, and ask us to delete your account by writing to [email protected]. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will tell you why unless the law prevents us.
Responsibility
We provide Crestlet with reasonable care and skill. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, for lost profit, or for decisions you make based on the records in Crestlet.
Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law does not allow to be limited, or takes away rights you have as a consumer where you live.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes go to its courts. If you are a consumer living in another country, you keep the protection of that country's mandatory laws, and you can bring a claim there.
Changes to these terms
When these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. We will tell you before a significant change applies to you.
